Maximum weight: 90kg (200lbs)

Current I.G.F.A all time record: 61.50kg (135lb 9oz) - Shark Bay, Australia - 9 July, 1985

Identifying features: Upper body is dark brown. Lower body is a lighter brown to tan and belly is white. The cobia resembles the remora in head shape.

Expected temperature range: 70° F to 86° F (21° C to 30° C)

Migration and breeding: COMING SOON!!

Typical location: Found worldwide in both tropical and temperate waters, inshore and offshore. This species has a particular fondness for shipwrecks, hevey reef structure, buoys, flotsom and often found swimming with large rays or Whale Sharks.

Fighting characteristics: This species is regarded highly in it's fighting ability. With a strong and powerful body the Cobia will test tackle and the skill of the angler.
